Do you ever wonder how much editing really goes into professional photos?
Well, for me, not a whole bunch. The secret is getting it right in the camera.
If you expose it just right, you just have to edit it a little bit to make it your own.
Sometimes, it’s not feasible to get it perfect in the camera- You are shooting over a bush you can’t squeeze your butt next to, so you have to shoot the photo super crooked and fix it later- see below haha.
I always straighten (a little OCD about it too), and make adjustments according to my style. If I feel it will add more, I covert it to black and white. I don’t convert all my photos to black and white. I feel like it can overuse b+w and it makes it “less special”. Does that make sense?
Here’s some before + after examples of my editing.
