How I began | Florida wedding photographer

I’ve heard it a lot lately.

How did your business start?

Did you start out with the mindset that you wanted to start a business?

Goodness no.

I just wanted to get good pictures of the girls.

Dameon sat me down a few weeks before my birthday with the laptop on the Best Buy website and said “pick one.”

He explained how he knew I wanted to take better pictures of the girls (I was pregnant with little Autumn at the time).

I looked through all of them and picked one.

When I first started taking pictures, I didn’t really know what I was doing.

I did know how it made me feel.

It made me so excited.

It gave me butterflies.

I would take Bella out and take pictures of her.

I would be so excited to go home and edit them- or at least what I thought editing was at the time. 😂

Below are a few of my first portraits I captured.

I set up a desk in our master bedroom right next to the bed- determined to make it a functioning space to expand my business.

I struggled with raising two little ones, moving every 2 years for the Army and growing my business but I kept pushing.

Starting out, I just knew I wanted to do something I loved and was so passionate about.

Years later I still feel that same excitement when I capture my client’s moments.

Every single wedding. Every single family.

I get to know my clients on such a personal level and it is even better than I could have ever imagined.

I’m still so passionate about capturing moments and the memories of my sweet clients.

I have the best job in the entire world.

Do you have a job that you are so unbelievably passionate about?

Tell me all about it.

Comment on my Instagram and tell me! I’d love to hear all about your dream job!
